The Company Dropping Prices on the Most Affordable Steam Deck Version
Valve has introduced a significant 20% discount on the base Steam Deck unit for the holiday shopping season, making this affordable PC gaming handheld even more attainable.
Price Drop and Offer Period
The 256 GB LCD Steam Deck is now priced at $319.20, down from its standard $399 price tag. This represents under 50% the cost of the high-end 1 TB OLED model, and additionally saves you $130 over a competing handheld. The promotion will run until December 1.
Capacity Considerations and Expansion Possibilities
Although 256 GB may not seem ample space, it is adequate for gamers who prefer independent or legacy titles. You can easily expand the storage using a microSD card, and many Black Friday discounts are on offer for these accessories.
- One 1 TB Samsung Pro Plus card can be acquired for $79.99, representing a one-third discount from its standard $119.99 retail cost.
Why It's a Standout Black Friday Choice
This Steam Deck offer is one of the top-tier electronics promotions this season, comparable to other significant console price reductions. For those considering getting into the Steam Deck ecosystem, this moment could be the ideal time.
