Borussia Dortmund Demolish Villarreal CF, Scott McTominay Finds the Net for Napoli

Borussia Dortmund stormed to a commanding 4-0 win over a 10-man Villarreal side, ending a three-match winless run in style.

The Guinean striker Serhou Guirassy was the star, breaking the deadlock with a close-range header from a corner in stoppage time just before the interval.

He made it two early in the second half, pouncing after his initial spot-kick was parried by keeper Luiz Júnior, being the fastest to react to tap in the loose ball.

Villarreal's challenge was made even harder when Juan Foyth was sent off for handling a certain goal strike from Karim Adeyemi, conceding the fateful penalty.

Just a short time after, Adeyemi found the net, firing home from the penalty area to make it 3-0, before Daniel Svensson sealed the emphatic win with a header in the dying moments of the match.

The result propelled Dortmund to fourth position in the standings with 10 points from five games, level with Chelsea and Man City.

Villarreal, in contrast, fell to just above the relegation zone with a solitary one point.

Juventus FC Grab Late Victory

Juventus needed a stoppage-time winner from substitute Jonathan David to overcome Norwegian club Bodø/Glimt 3-2 and claim their maiden win of this campaign's competition.

The hosts looked to have earned a point when Sondre Brunstad Fet scored an 87th-minute penalty, canceling out goals from Juve's Loïs Openda and Weston McKennie, who had overturned Ole Didrik Blomberg's first-half first goal.

However, the late drama was not over, as the hosts were beaten in stoppage time when goalkeeper Nikita Haikin failed to hold a shot from introduced substitute Kenan Yildiz, allowing David to pounce first and fire home the winning goal.

Scott McTominay Spares SSC Napoli's Blushes

Scott McTominay saved the day for Napoli as they marked the fifth anniversary of Diego Maradona's death with a 2-0 win over Qarabag.

The Scottish midfielder nodded in the first goal in the 65th minute and later caused an own goal from Marko Jankovic, after a spot-kick from Manchester United loanee Rasmus Højlund was kept out.
